Ok, not greatMay 07, 2010 I purchased this product (2) based on previous reviews.
I received the 2 grow lights in good condition but one burned out when I accidentally jiggled the plug in the outlet trying to unplug it, because there is no switch. You have to plug it in or unplug it to turn it off.
I contacted the manufacturer to try and purchase a new power converter but have received no response.
I am disappointed with the size of the grow light. I am starting veggies and this light only shines on half of a standard long tray. So I have to move the tray left and right to get all the plants some light throughout the day.
I went to the supermarket and picked up 2 18inch flourescent lights that mount under the counter and I replaced the bulbs with full spectrum flourescent bulbs. Total cost was less than $25. I can illuminate 2 long trays of veggie starts with 2 under counter lights rigged on a shelf and the veggies are growing just as well as with this led grow light. Though I have not tested it scientifically with 1 tomato under the led and one under the flourescent.
If you purchase this grow light, plug it into a power strip so you have a switch to turn it on and off without unplugging it. Its a huge help.

Nice Product. But Not From This Merchant.Apr 16, 2010 This is a very nice and effective light. It performs as the manufacturer says it will. But wait for the punchline. I bought two of them through Amazon from a merchant called New England Hydroponics. I received them promptly and they perform very well. More recently, I wanted to buy two more lights. This time the only merchant listed for the item was Flora Hydroponics, located in Georgia. The item was listed In Stock. I ordered the lights, the order was confirmed and I received an email the following day from Amazon stating that the order had shipped from Flora Hydroponics. Then I waited. And waited. After an inordinately long estimated range of shipping dates (eight days) had passed, I finally called the merchant. Here is what I learned:
Flora Hydroponics did not have the item in stock. In fact, they NEVER have the item in stock. I learned it was to be drop-shipped from the manufacturer in Ohio (I am in Ohio, too--eight days?). So, the manufacturer had not shipped the item. They still have not shipped the item. Wanna know why? They don't have any to ship. So, the fact is, I received a confirmation of shipment from a vendor who never actually ships this item and who claimed not to even know that the manufacturer didn't have any to ship! (No tracking information, by the way; imagine that.)
Beyond all this, this entire feedback system is flawed: this item has average feedback of 4 1/2 stars, all of which was earned by a good product, but through a *different* vendor. I wouldn't expect many people to recommend this more recent arrangement. I believe you can tell I'm not recommending it. (Furthermore, if it turns out that this is not a direct violation of Amazon's vendor rules, I won't be able to recommend Amazon itself anymore, either.) Bottom line, five stars for the product and one star for the vendor averages out to one star for the whole transaction.

Worked like a charm -- cool operating temperature.Apr 10, 2010 We live into a downtown apartment and used these lamps to correct a "leggy" seedlings issue we had using windows.
See my blog about it:
[...]
These lamps worked as described.
What's more, I have them setup in my office, and they hardly create any heat at all, which is really good.
For compact inside the house setup, these rules. Enjoy!
